Physical Education

Calvary Academy’s physical education classes are designed to provide physical activity for all students and to teach them the skills and knowledge needed to establish and sustain an active lifestyle. P.E. classes are offered twice a week at all grade levels.

The P.E. curriculum focuses on both team sports, such as basketball or volleyball, and individual fitness. Team sports activities allow students to learn to use their bodies through motor control development, as well as develop team building and communication skills.  These skills will not only assist them in the sports they play, but also in life.  Individual skills such as physical fitness exposes students to ways to be active and involved in the community.  Calvary Academy’s P.E.program provides a holistic approach to physical education that extends beyond the walls of the gym, into the school’s classrooms and community.
