The Art Program at Calvary Academy is designed to ignite the God-given creative spark in each student, as well as foster a lifelong appreciation for art. The curriculum utilizes exploration and expression to encourage creativity. A variety of different techniques are taught at the primary level and are built upon as the child progresses through junior high. Art projects emphasize the concepts of space, color theory, shape, line, value, texture, cultural appreciation, and patterns. Weaving, recyclable art, pottery, watercolor paint, oil pastels, digital art, as well as many other mediums are incorporated into the art curriculum.  The art program combines hands-on activities, digital tools, and art history to provide a comprehensive and engaging art education for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
