Spanish is taught across all grade levels at Calvary Academy.

Kindergarten through Fifth Grade

Kindergarten through fifth grade students participate in Spanish classes once a week. Language concepts, vocabulary and Spanish culture are the primary focus of the curriculum at these grade levels.

Junior High (6th-8th grade)

Spanish is a core subject at the Junior High level.  Students participate in Spanish classes five days a week. The curriculum focuses on four major components:  Themes and Topics, Grammar and Vocabulary, Communication skills and Cultural content. Sixth grade Spanish lays a solid foundation for each student’s Spanish language journey by introducing essential vocabulary, grammar structures, communication skills, and cultural awareness. Seventh and Eighth grade Spanish builds upon this foundation and prepares students for more advanced levels of language proficiency and cultural competency.
