Bible

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path!”

--Psalm 119:105

Bible class is taught as a subject at Calvary Academy to help students develop a biblical foundation, a life calling, and to understand God’s purpose for creating the student.

God is the Divine Creator of all mankind.  The Westminster Confession describes God’s purpose for creating of mankind as being “to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”  Teaching Bible as a subject provides the opportunity to instruct students in the character of the Divine Creator and what He requires from His creation.  This instruction is essential for the student to live a life of glorification and fulfillment.

The divine purposes of God are revealed in the Holy Scriptures.  The Scriptures, being God-breathed, are infallible and inerrant in all that they contain.  The Scriptures not only include the purposes of God, but also His divine expectations for man and the means to true fulfillment.

At Calvary Academy, students are instructed regarding the divine origin of man, his rebellion from the Divine Creator, and the Creator’s initiative to restore creation to Himself.
